Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are community volunteers appointed by judges to advocate on behalf of children who have experienced abuse or neglect. These trained volunteers work with legal and child welfare professionals, educators and service providers to ensure judges have all the information they need to make the most well-informed decisions for each child. They represent the best interest of these children and are their voice in court. Advocates stay with the case until it is closed with the child in a safe, permanent home where they have the opportunity to thrive.
