Lunch & Learn @ ACRH - Domestic Violence Awareness
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month - and the perfect time to help EDUCATE, EMPOWER, and END the cycle.
Donita Garner knows domestic violence well. She has worked with our local HOPE UNLIMITED victim assistance center for many years both as a shelter director and currently as the child advocacy coordinator. In addition to defining DV and providing some current statistics, Donita will also share some personal stories of families right here in Southeast Kansas who have escaped the abuse and continue to work to make a better life for themselves and their children.
Donita will also give an overview of HOPE UNLIMITED and the services they provide across several SEK counties - and ways that you can get involved.
You must RSVP to reserve your seat and a free lunch. Seating is limited. Send a private message or call Traci at 620-365-1011 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Lunch & Learn sessions are held in the Lynn Conference Room.
